Sharp’s Ridge Clean-Up
Sharp's Ridge Memorial Park is one of the premier birding spots in the Knoxville area. It is also the site of the J. B. Owen overlook, named after a long-term leader of the Knoxville birding community. In 2004, KTOS formally adopted the park as a litter-free area and has since held yearly clean-up days to collect trash, remove invasive plans, and maintain interpretive signage.
Clean-up days (typically in April and October) will be announced in the newsletter and on the front page of our website. All are encouraged to come out and help maintain this urban birding jewel!

Owen Award, which is to be used to support a project that promotes the welfare and conservation of birds in Tennessee. The expected value of the award may range from $250 to $500 per year.
