The Nashville Chapter of TOS and Warner Parks is pleased
to be hosting the Fall Meeting, October 3-5, 2003, with field trips
to favorite locals such as Radnor Lake and Shelby Park and Bottoms.
Headquarters: The Friday night registration,
meeting for Saturday and Sunday field trips and compilation, Saturday
afternoon paper session and board meeting will all be held at the
beautiful, new Warner Park Nature Center at 7333 Hwy 100 in the
southwest part of town.
Directions: Coming from the north or east,
take I-40 west of downtown, and get off at exit 199 (Old Hickory
Blvd.). Go south on Old Hickory Blvd. 2.8 miles and turn left onto
Hwy 100. The Nature Center entrance is .2 mile on the right. Coming
from the west, take I-40 east to exit 196 (Hwy 70) and go south
on Hwy 70 1.9 miles to Old Hickory Blvd. Turn right and go 1 mile
to Hwy 100. Turn left and the Nature Center entrance is .2 mile
on the right. Coming from the south, take I-65 north to exit 74
(Old Hickory Blvd.). Go west on Old Hickory Blvd. 6.9 miles and
turn left onto Hwy 100. The Nature Center entrance is 0.3 mile on
the left. This is a new entrance to the Nature Center and is just
a little further west on Hwy 100 than the former one. There are
no lights here, but there are signs and stone pillars at the entrance.
Lodging: There are many motels in the area,
but a special rate for TOS members has been arranged with the 5
listed below. You must call the motel directly and tell them you
are with TOS. Continental breakfasts are served at all of these
motels and there are plenty of restuarants nearby, especially on
Hwy 70 between I-40 and Old Hickory Blvd.

Sept. 30; I-40 exit 201 (Charlotte Pk.), east on Charlotte Pk. a
block to motel on left.

rooms being held until Sept. 19, both doubles and singles at $54.00
plus tax.; I-40 exit 204 (White Bridge Rd.), south on White Bridge
Rd. past Charlotte Rd. to motel on right next to Shoneys.
